BONITA
REDS
Red bananas 5-6" long and 1.5-2 " round.
The skin is maroon to dark purple when ripe, thus
its Spanish name, Morados. The meat is white, but
at times may have a slight tinge of pink. It can be
quite sweet and sticky.

- Relative Humidity 90-95%
- Do not expose bananas to extreme temperature.
Bananas are very susceptible to chill injury
below 56°F.
- In temperatures above 60°F, remove box
lids and cross stack boxes no more than four
high to provide maximun ventilation.
- Display on padded shelves and avoid stacking
fruit.

- Red bananas are heartier and tend to be
sweeter than regular bananas. The skin is
purple or maroon when the product ir ripe.
The flesh is creamy white with a slight
hue of light pink or pale orange. This banana
has a raspberry flavor and the texture of
the fruit is very soft when ripe.
